Il medico rientra in famiglia

Grandi manovre in casa Martini.

Rapping (also known as emceeing, MCing, spitting, or just rhyming) is the rhythmic spoken delivery of rhymes and wordplay, one of the elements of hip hop music and culture. Although the word rap has sometimes been claimed to be a backronym of the phrase “Rhythmic African Poetry”, “Rhythm and Poetry”, “Rhythmically Applied Poetry”, “Rapping About Poetry,” “Racing Always Pacing,” or “Rhythmically Associated Poetry”, use of the word to describe quick speech or repartee long predates the musical form[1], and is abbreviated from the English word “rapid”, which is from the Latin rapidus. The word had been used in British English since the 16th century, and specifically meaning “to say” since the 18th. It was part of the African American dialect of English in the 1960s meaning “to converse”, and very soon after that in its present usage as a term denoting the musical style.[2] music  clubbers  party  techno  sexplosion  eastclubbers  european  best  east  dance

Rapping can be delivered over a beat or without accompaniment. Stylistically, rap occupies a gray area among speech, prose, poetry, and song. Rap is derived from the griots (folk poets) of West Africa, and Caribbean-style toasting. It also has precedents in traditional Gaelic music. Modern rap battles, for instance, bear a striking resemblance to the Limerick Game, a traditional Gaelic drinking game in which people compete for notoriety by making up insulting limericks about each other the loser having to buy the next round of drinks. Likewise, puirt a beul, a form of Scottish mouth music was incorporated into Appalachian music and is an early ancestor of modern mouth percussion, or beatboxing. The influence of Scottish and Irish music on hip hop is not direct, since virtually all of the originators of hip hop culture were African American, but were transferred indirectly by way of American roots music.[citation needed] Roots music was created out of the fusion of African and Celtic music in the American South and is typified by the combination of African rhythms, Gaelic melodies, and (occasionally) vocal improvisation. It forms the basis of virtually all American musical styles from bluegrass to the blues, jazz, rock, funk, and country. Hip hop grew out of this same tradition; stripping down the melody, emphasizing the rhythm, and incorporating mouth music, battling, and vocal improvisation.

Rapping developed both inside and outside of hip hop culture, and began with the street parties thrown in the Bronx neighborhood of New York in the 70s by Jamaican expatriate Kool Herc and others. The parties introduced dancehall and the practice of having a “Master of Ceremonies,” or MC, get up on stage with the DJ and shout encouragements to the crowd in a practice known as ‘toasting’. Over time, those shouts of encouragement became more longer and more complex and cross-pollinated with the spoken-word poetry scene to evolve into rap. From the beginning hip hop culture has been syncretic, incorporating sounds and elements from radically divergent sources. While Funk breaks formed the backbone of early hip hop, Kraftwerk and other early techno artists were widely sampled as well.

In the 1980s, the success of groups like Run-D.M.C. led to a huge wave of commercialized rap music. By the end of the 1990s, hip hop became widely accepted in mainstream music. Underground hip hop rapping from the 2000s has complex rhythms, cadences, an intricate poetic form, and inventive wordplay. Rap lyrics convey the street life from which hip hop originally emerged with references to popular culture and hip hop slang. Many types of rap also deal with issues such as race, socioeconomics, and gender. arab  habib  rap  wheeling  middle  a-r-a-b  parody  virginia  east  cent  country  pimp  goremy  eastern  remy  go  50

U.S., Chinese Companies Charged Over Tainted Pet Food (Update2)

Feb. 6 (Bloomberg) — A U.S. company, ChemNutra Inc., and two Chinese businesses were charged by a federal grand jury in connection with the import of tainted pet food ingredients that may have killed thousands of cats and dogs last year.

Top executives from the companies were also indicted. The U.S. accused them of importing 800 metric tons of wheat gluten poisoned with melamine, an unsafe food additive. The shipments were mislabeled to avoid inspection in China, prosecutors said.

“In today’s global economy, crimes that occur halfway around the world can seriously impact our lives,” U.S. Attorney John Wood of Kansas City, Missouri, said today in a statement. “Millions of pet owners remember the anxiety of last year’s pet food recall.”

Last March, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration was alerted to the deaths of 14 cats and dogs that appeared to suffer from kidney failure after eating. Ultimately, manufacturers recalled more than 150 brands of dog and cat food. The pet deaths contributed to U.S. consumers’ fears about the safety of Chinese- made products during a year in which toys and toothpaste made in that country also were recalled.

Consumer reports received by the FDA suggested that about 1,950 cats and 2,200 dogs died after eating contaminated pet food, the Justice Department said.

Dancehall

Dancehall is a type of Jamaican popular music which developed in the late 1970s, with exponents such as Yellowman and Shabba Ranks. It is also known as bashment.

The style is characterized by a deejay singing and toasting (or rapping) over raw and danceable music riddims. The rhythm in dancehall is much faster than in reggae, sometimes with drum machines replacing acoustic sets. In the early years of dancehall, some found its lyrics crude or “slack“, particularly because of its sexual tones, popular among youths in Jamaica. Like its reggae predecessor, dancehall eventually made inroads onto the world music scene. It may be the predecessor of hip hop music. skiing  christian  five  tube  tag  you  game  skull  soldiers  village  facts  pottery

This deejay-led, largely synthesized chanting with musical accompaniment departed from traditional conceptions of Jamaican popular musical entertainment. Dub poet Mutabaruka maintained, “if 1970s reggae was red, green and gold, then in the next decade it was gold chains”. It was far removed from its gentle roots and culture, and there was furious debate among purists as to whether it should be considered some sort of extension of reggae music.[1] holladay  holla  habib  christmas  holidays  rap  hanukkah  goremy  kwanzaa  happy  virginia  holladays  remy  go

Dancehall owes its moniker to the spaces in which popular Jamaican recordings were aired by local sound systems and readily consumed by its “set-to-party” patronage; commonly referred to as “dance halls“. Dancehall, the musical genre, is long considered to be the creation of Henry “Junjo” Lawes in 1979. The production of dancehall music was further refined by King Jammy in the early 80s, during the transition from dub to dancehall, and original attempts to digitize “hooks” to “toast” over by Jamaican deejays.

King Jammy’s 1985 hit, “(Under Me) Sleng Teng” by Wayne Smith, with an entirely-digital rhythm hook took the dancehall reggae world by storm. Many credit this song as being the first “digital rhythm” in reggae, leading to the modern dancehall era.[2] [3] However this is not entirely correct since there are earlier examples of digital productions; Horace Ferguson’s single “Sensi Addict” (Ujama) produced by Prince Jazzbo in 1984 is one.
